The waiting is over.
We have all been waiting for it, right? Ever since I played through GTA IV (again and again), I've been waiting for what they'll come up with next for the GTA series.
So after getting kind of fed up with GTA IV I've been playing through the whole Saints Row series, including the latest addition, Saints Row 4, and GTA San Andreas as well.
But 09.17.13 the waiting was over. I got the special-edition, without getting into too much details about that.
So after waiting for the game to install on my PS3, I could finally re-discover Los Santos again. And I must say... I am really impressed by the amount of work they've put into this game. Just by completing the very first mission and watching the following cut-scene/intro I realized that this game must be the biggest GTA game ever made (and the most expensive).
The protagonists.
There is no secret that you can switch between three main characters, right?
You got Trevor, Franklin and Michael, three quite different people who somehow meet the path of one and another.
I don't want to spoil the fun so you better find out yourself what kind of personalities they've got.
The game in general.
The vehicles have got quite an improvement when it comes to steering and driving. Unlike Saints Row you can't make a perfect 90 degrees drift, and the handling and steering depends on which vehicle you got your hands on. Also, steering planes and helicopters can be quite challenging now as you got turbulence.
The cops have become smarter and even with one wanted star I had problems getting rid of them. They even try to box you in, if you're not careful.
Mount Chiliad is back, bigger and better, as well as some other mountains and highlands.
There is a new camera angle which is located on the hood of your car as well as the familiar "cinematic-camera".
All in all.
This is a game that I can't get enough of. If you're a fan of GTA you would love it, and probably have bought it already.
To summarize, it is the freedom from San Andreas and the graphics from GTA IV.
Here is a clip to show the beauty of this game. But hold your horses, it's just a timelapse.
